This was a fun challenge of bringing a brand to life through a talking donut. This project ended up using almost every kind of animation there is, with stop motion, hand drawn, photo collage, and even a little 3D! And you thought packaging was boring.
For our hero Dudley, the client wanted him to feel as real as possible. To achieve this I ended up gluing some google eyes on a donut and shooting his body from every angle possible (yes that is my kitchen). After that I was able to take the images and create a rig in after effects and have him move and emote however I needed.
Most of the other elements were all made using stock images that I could photoshop, warp, and combine into some fun, bizarre additions. This isn't a style I get to work in very often but I had so much fun making this I hope there is more in the future.
